The Chagas disease is a sickness caused by parasite
called Trypanosoma
cruzi, which is transmitted by an insect
known as the Kissing
Bedbug. It affects hot-blooded animals and
human beings. It was named after Carlos
R.J. Chagas who first discovered the parasite
and began the descriptive work of the clinical
aspect of the disease. This disease is also known
as American Trypanosomiasis.
